The Nonstock Item contains information about items that your company sells but does not carry in inventory. When you require to set about keeping these items in inventory, you can convert them to normal item cards in two ways:<\/p>\n<p>1. From a nonstock item card, create a new item card based on a template.<br \/>\n2. From a sales order line of type Item with an empty \u201cNo.\u201d field, select a nonstock item. An item card is automatically created for the Nonstock item.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll guide you through how to create and manage a Nonstock Item. Nonstock Items don\u2019t have much information unlike normal item cards because you simply utilize these items to offer on quotes and in other ways. If you want to post sales transactions using these items, you must first need to convert them into normal item cards.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n<p><strong>STEP 1<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Go to Departments&gt;Sales &amp; Marketing&gt;Inventory &amp; Pricing&gt;Nonstock Items<br \/>\n\u2022 Select \u2018New\u2019 action<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: none; width: 596px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metaoption.com\/wp-content\/themes\/metaoption\/images\/a1.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Fill in the necessary fields then choose a field to create a short description or to link more information<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: none; width: 596px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metaoption.com\/wp-content\/themes\/metaoption\/images\/a2.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEP 2\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nHow to setup Nonstock Item numbers to convert to your own numbering<br \/>\n\u2022 To enable conversion of a nonstock item card to a normal item card, you must first set up on how the vendor\u2019s item numbering is converted to your own item number format.<br \/>\n\u2022 In the search bar enter \u2018Nonstock Item Setup\u2019 and choose the related link<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: none; width: 596px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metaoption.com\/wp-content\/themes\/metaoption\/images\/a3.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Fill in the necessary fields then click OK<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: none; width: 596px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metaoption.com\/wp-content\/themes\/metaoption\/images\/a4.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEP 3\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nHow to convert a Nonstock Item to a normal item<br \/>\n\u2022 In the search bar enter \u2018Nonstock Items\u2019 then choose the related link<br \/>\n\u2022 Open the card for a Nonstock Item that you want to convert to a normal item<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: none; width: 596px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metaoption.com\/wp-content\/themes\/metaoption\/images\/a5.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><br \/>\n\u2022 In the Nonstock Item Card window choose the \u2018Create Item\u2019 action<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: none; width: 596px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.metaoption.com\/wp-content\/themes\/metaoption\/images\/a6.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>A new item card prefilled with information from the nonstock item and a relevant item template is created.
