Here\u2019s a summary of the new functionality now available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Improvements to statement calculation and posting<\/li><li>Reduce the wait for the end-of-day calculation with automation<\/li><li>Reduce statement posting time with parallel posting<\/li><li>Use a dual-display through the LS Central AppShell<\/li><li>Configure keyboard shortcuts for POS commands<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Improvements_to_statement_calculation_and_posting\"><\/span><strong>Improvements to statement calculation and posting<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Substantially improved and optimized the performance of the&nbsp;statement\ncalculation and<strong> posting<\/strong>&nbsp;functionality.\nAlso, refactored the process for replication counter updates. This resolves\npossible deadlock issues during statement calculation and posting. Now you can\nalso&nbsp;<strong>automatically create and calculate statements<\/strong>&nbsp;for\nstores in an incremental way, and perform&nbsp;<strong>statements\nbatch posting in parallel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"LS_Central_reduce_the_wait_for_the_end-of-day_calculation_with_automation\"><\/span>LS Central r<strong>educe the wait for the end-of-day calculation with automation<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can now set up the system to&nbsp;automatically create and calculate statements&nbsp;for stores. The statements will be&nbsp;calculated incrementally, with each calculation only including new transactions. This way the calculation time can be spread across the business day,&nbsp;minimizing the waiting time for the last calculation of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reduce_statement_posting_time_with_parallel_posting\"><\/span><strong>Reduce statement posting time with parallel posting<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can now post the statements in the batch posting queue&nbsp;in parallel, with multiple sessions. Define in the setup how many statements you\u2019d like to post in parallel, and LS Central will spin up the needed background sessions to work on the statement posting. Depending on your server\u2019s specification, this can&nbsp;reduce the total statement posting time&nbsp;tremendously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Use_a_dual-display_through_the_LS_Central_AppShell\"><\/span><strong>Use a dual-display through the LS Central AppShell<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you start LS Central through the LS Central AppShell, Windows version, you can now access&nbsp;<strong>support for a dual display<\/strong>. Enable the dual-display in the Terminal card, and it will start automatically, opening by default on the secondary screen.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A dual display can be useful to show information on the customer-facing screen. For example, you can show the POS journal with the total amount to pay or display advertising videos when the POS is not online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Configure_keyboard_shortcuts_for_POS_commands\"><\/span><strong>Configure keyboard shortcuts for POS commands<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also now trigger <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metaoption.com\/ls-central-retail-management-solution-pos\/?utm_source=MO&amp;utm_medium=Blog&amp;utm_campaign=Ls-central&amp;utm_term=Functionality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"POS commands (opens in a new tab)\">POS commands<\/a> and button clicks via keyboard shortcuts.
