Introduction:

Web Content Management products usually seek to empower non technical users by allowing them to modify web content from their desktops; enforcing standards; and categorizing, structuring, and cataloging information in a way that makes it easy to locate.
With over 200 commercially available products spanning every conceivable market niche, CS has earned a reputation for ease of use and best overall value among its competitors. The fact that it's written and extensible through ColdFusion should come as no surprise to anyone.
Challenges:
There was lots of Challenges with us regarding new version of CS, some of them are listed below:
- Develop new User Interface for new version of CS using Adobe Spry framework for AJAX.
- Give new control and Functionality for developers in new version.
- Understanding of old version of code that have less readability, integration of multiple file for one task, use of web services.
- Come out with a completely new Installation Wizard to install the new CS Content Server.
Achievement:
We have successfully completed the task within limited time Period and successfully released the CS Version. 5.0. We have worked hard to achieve this goal. It was result of our dedicated team of qualified professionals that we have achieved this Goal .In the new version of CS Version we have introduced the use of CFCs (ColdFusion Component).
We have modified the use of Javascript and used Adobe Spry framework. Spry is an AJAX framework which works with the data returned as XML and easily fits with the ColdFusion. This made the admin interface for the CS more interactive which improved the web Pages Interactivity, speed, functionality and usability.
One of the most exciting additions was the new and improved authoring interface, ideal for enhancing author productivity. We also developed a new, improved rich text editor; browser-based image editing; new XML capabilities, out-of-the-box support for RSS, Atom, and pod casting feeds, and more.
Significant investments in XML (Extensible Markup Language) and XSL enhance developer productivity, content re-usability, and interoperability, with better control over the formatting and presentation of content.
To achieve this goal we divided our team to handle different module and take care of each module independently so working of one task does not affect other modules. It was constant team effort that we touched this milestone.
